Glossybox Starter Kit Unboxing | May 2016

I joined Glossybox in the end of May so unfortunately, the May box had already sold out so I was send a Glossybox starter kit instead. Overall, I was super pleased with everything I received in it. When I got an email saying I would be getting a stater kit instead, I did feel a little worried I wasn't going to like or be able to use all the products but now I'm super glad that wasn't the case.

Haute Light Highlighting Pencil by SO SUSAN
This was the first item I say in the box and oh my God was I pleased with it. I had received this product before when I was previously subscribed to Glossybox and have been using it ever since. I could have been disappointed since I already had one exactly the same but I love it so much that having two of these is a bonus. I like to blend this pencil under my waterline to get rid of any darkness and also to make me look a little more awake, it's super creamy so you can even use it for disguising the bags under your eyes.
This product costs £15.00

Catharsis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo by -417
I have actually never heard of this product and was quite surprised to see it in my box as it's obviously shampoo. I instantly had to open it up and I have to say it smells absolutely amazing. It says that this shampoo aims to ensure the hair is left gleaming, clean and hydrated. I have been a little more laid back with my hair recently so I'm really looking forward to trying this product and finding out what it does for my hair. Don't worry, I will be posting an individual review for this product once I have used it long enough to create a proper opinion on it.
This product costs £16.89

Diamond Heart Primer by EMITE
This is another product I have never ever heard of. However, I'm quite excited to give this primer a try. As we all know, using a primer underneath your make up can make a gigantic difference. This particular primer says it aims to even out the skin tone, boost radiance and create a smooth finish to make up.
This product costs £13.82

Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss by MUA
I have heard of and tried so many of MUA's products before in the past. When the Power Pout collection came out I really wanted to try it and then the stores in my town never had them in stock so I ended up throwing it into the back of my mind. I was so surprised when I saw this in the box and I was so glad. I haven't tried it yet but I can't wait to try it and review the product. The aim of this product is to provide a sheer, subtle hint of color to the lips to flatter the skin tone.
This product costs £3.50

Dermo Defence Face Mask by UNANI
I've never heard of this brand or face mask but I love a good face mask so trying this out will be awesome for me. The aim of this product is to care for the skin and keep it protected. You're meant to apply this once a week over a cleansed face.
This product costs £11.36

Pregnancy Weekly Update | 28 Weeks

You all asked for a weekly pregnancy update and that's exactly what I will be doing all the way through to giving birth.

This week has been super eventful, filled with countless appointments and scans. I did my glucose tolerance test in the beginning of the week, and also had a growth scan and a consultant appointment.

The glucose tolerance test was actually super draining. I wasn't allowed to have any food since the night before the test so you can imagine how drained and unless I felt having to keep waiting in a boiling hot waiting room and with nothing in my stomach. I had a few tubes of blood taken and then had to drink just over a bottle of Lucozade for the test and then had to wait in the waiting room for an hour (I think), had another blood test done and then had to wait another 30 minutes to have another blood test done. I did feel super exhausted and hungry by the end of it but it was nowhere near as bad as what people had told me.

Later in the week, I had a growth scan where they measured the baby and also my waters. Good news is that we are good with the liquids, the waters are totally fine and our little boy is now average size (he was measuring 3 weeks ahead before). He is still a little heavier but is still considered average so we have been told to expect him at 37 weeks. This means we have 9 weeks to go, I can't wait.

We are literally counting down the days now. 8 weeks feel like so soon and yet, also feels like forever.

I Won A Prize | Jamberry Nails with Rachel Schofield

I absolutely love these nail wraps so when I found out I won a prize I was super excited.

I had tried these before and made a post about it but unfortunately all my pictures and post was lost from the 7 day challenge due to blog being transferred. If I could do the 7 day challenge again and re-take the pictures I took every day to show you, I really would. So, I already knew how to apply these.

The first time I applied these nail wraps (when I did the 7 day challenge), I struggled a little at first but because I already knew what I was doing this time, I had no problems applying them this time. It's a matter of practice really. After you have applied one or two, you already know how to do it super easily and well.

Another thing I love about these is that they last incredibly long. In fact, surprising long. I wash up a lot so whenever I used other nail wraps, they would be coming off within hours. With the Jamberry Nail wraps it is completely different. I have a habit of putting normal nail polish on most of my nails and then just leave one undone so I can apply the nail wrap. The nail wrap lasted 3 days extra than my normal nail polish. In fact, my normal nail polish started flaking off within 4-5 days and the nail wrapped nail was still intact.

So, now you can imagine how excited I was to find out I had won something from Jamberry. If you are interested in purchasing some of these amazing nail wraps the link is below and also the link to the Facebook page:

Lush Shower Cream Review | The Comforter

I literally love the smell of this shower cream. We bought this around a month ago and considering we purchased the smaller version, I think it has been lasting us quite long. It’s one of those shower and bath products that you don’t need to use much off because a little bit does so much.
It has lasted us quite long so far, the best part is that a little really goes a long way with this shower cream. The scent stays on 04311the skin pretty much all day long, even if you continuously wash your arms and hands at work like me.
The scent reminds me a lot of the strawberry bubble gum I used to have when I was younger, so as you can imagine with anything bubble gum… It smells on point.
Do I recommend this shower cream? You can bet I do and you would win that bet. Everything about this shower cream is on point.

Where I Find Inspiration For My Posts | Collab Post with Acorn Life and Fitness

Today’s post is a collab with the lovely Jess from Acorn Life and Fitness. Remember to go and check out her post on the following link: https://acornlifefitness.com/2016/06/15/where-i-find-inspiration-for-my-blog-post
I remember when I started blogging I had no idea how to find motivation to keep up with posting, let alone find inspiration to create a post. So here is how I have found inspiration for my blog posts recently.
  1. Twitter. I love Twitter when it comes to everything blog related. Not only is Twitter amazing for advertising your blog, it is also a great way for you to connect with other bloggers and also your readers. I often run polls on Twitter and have people vote for which of the options they would prefer the next post to be about. This is definitely a great way to also know what your readers want to see on your blog.
  2. Lists. I do lists a lot, especially for things that are blog related. Whether it’s a list of things I plan to give away or actual blog post ideas. I don’t usually write every post I list down, I usually choose three post ideas, run a poll on Twitter and whichever one is voted for the most is the one I will do.
  3. Other bloggers. I often check out other blogs and find ideas that way and then change things a little so it has my own twist.
  4. Beauty products. I have my days where I really struggle to decide what to write, either because I haven’t been on social media much to find inspiration enough or because I can’t put my thoughts into words. When this happens, I usually review beauty products. Beauty product reviews are highly requested by my readers so I know when I put a post out there, it isn’t just because it’s the easiest way out of a writer’s block. I usually sit down with the product and describe what I like and don’t like and then the next day I may have a better idea for a post so it isn’t always the same content.
  5. Television. Now this is going to sound strange, I watch a lot of programs on TLC and a lot of them sometimes make me think or improvements or a nice dress I would like to talk about. I sometimes pick out my topics like this, even though I have tried to keep it as less personal as possible as the blog is just starting but later on I may even want to talk about something I saw and give my own raw opinion.
I hope this post helps you. Are you a blogger? How do you find inspiration for your posts? Feel free to comment and let me know, maybe I will start using some of your ways too.

End of Second Trimester | Pregnancy Update

Now that I sit here and think about it while writing this, this trimester has been crazy. So much has happened. The first trimester was quite calm and it time did drag a lot, time always felt like it was going so slowly, this trimester has been the absolute opposite.
At 17 weeks, I started getting really bad pains that started from my spine, went round my left side and over the left side of my bump. The pains would usually last 5-7 hours and would be constant. I would be in absolute agony to the point of having to bite and scream into pillows. At 19 weeks, I was getting the pains every 5-8 days and didn’t feel much movement for a few days after the last time I had the pains at the time (I was feeling flutters before) so I had an emergency ultrasound scan. At this point, they did some tests and turns out I had a really bad UTI (Urine Tract Infection) which was likely to be causing me the pain. The ultrasound showed a very sleepy and happy baby that put his thumb up at us when he was woken up during the scan and gave us the cutest ultrasound picture ever. I was also able to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time, which by the way was perfect.I was put on to antibiotics for 7 days.
I was referred to a consultant for my high bmi. The consultant said he predicts our baby to be here any time from 37 weeks as he was measuring quite big for his time.
At 20 weeks, we had the scan that is well known as the gender scan (however, it is a lot more than that as there are loads of important measurements and checks that need to be done). We were so nervous and time really seemed to drag during the weeks leading up to the scan. We found out we are having a little boy and honestly couldn’t be happier. Next date to look forward to would be the long-waited-for due date, the day we meet our little man.
I can’t remember weeks properly for this point exactly, I’m sure I was 21-22 weeks. My pains were still happening like before, more intense each time. A few more tests were done and turns out the infection I had before had traveled up tract into my kidneys, even though I had been on antibiotics for it for 7 days straight just before. I was given more antibiotics to take, another 7 days of non-stop antibiotics. A week or so later, I had to do a an ultrasound to my kidneys to see if I had kidney stones, I got the results soon after and turns out I had a little tiny stone there but was no reason to be medicated as it would go away on its own.
During all this time, my bump continued to grow more and more. I love it. At around 24-25 weeks I started to feel the baby so much more. The kicks are the best feeling ever. At 25 weeks, we started being able to actually see him kicking and moving inside the belly.
At 26 weeks, I was told that it would be best for me to pack my maternity bag ready for when I am 30 weeks because they can decide to induce me at any point after that, depending on what is shown on growth scans. If our baby boy continues to grow like he is, he will be a few weeks ahead and needs to meet us sooner. My UTI has also come back, which is another thing that can push them to induce me early or he may even come earlier when he is ready.
At 27 weeks, the really bad Braxton Hicks contractions have made an appearance. And from what I have been told, I can expect a lot more of these the closer I get to the due date.
I am hoping the next trimester flies by just like this one did, I can’t wait to meet our little boy. Even though, I would prefer for him to stay inside my belly for as long as he needs and is best for him. The next trimester will be full of appointments, growth scans, and we will also be getting things ready for him and doing his room. Excited is an understatement.

Review: AVON Naturals Body Lotion | Fig

I really hesitated to buy this product, mainly because I hate the smell of fig. Well, at least I did. But when I smelled the fragrance patch in the catalog I had to give it a shot. I also noticed it has a hint of plum as well so that is probably what makes me like it so much as well. I must say, I don't regret purchasing this at all.

It literally feels like butter on the body, it does everything it claims to do. I like to put this on my body after a shower and I also like to put this on my hands every time I wash up as the washing up liquid often makes my hands dry and gritted so this lotion stops that from happening. The scent is also super long lasting so I have no way to not like this.

As many of you have already realized, I really like saving money and buying things on the cheap so every sale I have to step up and get. When I purchased this, it was at £1 so I can easily say it was £1 very well spent. Ever since I bought this, I have been tempted to try the same fragrance in the bath section, I still need to do that. Only negative thing I have to say is that you need to apply rather generously to the hands and body to reach its full effect or it really won't do much.

AVON Products I Still Need To Try- May 2016

There are a bunch of Avon products I would love to try but am too unsure about. Most of them are at a price I personally wouldn't give unless it was something that I'm 100% sure will work. However, I will probably end up trying some of these in the near future if not all and then I will let you all know how it goes.

Perfectly Matte Lipstick
I have been wanting to try this lipstick for a few months now, pretty much since I first saw it in the brochure. I have seen a lot of people compare these lipsticks to the MAC matte lipstick so that's what's really pushing me to want to try this. Why haven't I tried it yet? Not only are these usually £8 each when not on sale, I'm super scared it will dry my lips too much. I already have to exfolliate and moisturize my lips so much before applying matte lipsticks so if this lipstick falls into the catagory of dyring lipsticks then it wouldn't work for me. I wouldn't want to give £8 for a lipstick that may be too drying for my lips, but I will definitely give this lipstick a try if I see it on sale at a more affordable price for me to risk it.

SuperExtend Extreme Mascara
Me and mascaras just don't seem to get along, I have been buying mascaras for around 7 years and still to this day I haven't found a mascara that is right for me. Throughout the years, I have developed a friendly hate towards any type of mascara wand that isn't rubbery, because they make my lashes clamp together like crazy. I absolutely hate it. This mascara has the type of wand that I adore, the type of wand that deals with my eyelashes best. I have used SuperExtend products before but never tried this mascara. Once again, this product is at a pushy price and I will easily give £10 for a liquid lipstick but wouldn't do the same for a mascara because I have spent so much money on them and they hardly ever work for me. But if I was to see this product on sale in a brochure and I didn't have a bunch of other stuff to get that month then chances are I would give this a try.

Ultra Colour Lip Crayon
I have been wanting to try a couple of the colors from this collection for quite some time now but have a lot of doubts about trying this product because I don't like my lipstick creasing... In fact, who does? I also don't like my lipstick looking super shiny unless it's a gloss so I have had my doubts about trying these lip crayons. However, the colors look super cute and they are on sale a lot of the time so I don't know if I won't give in to them soon and just give them a try. These are normally £8.50 each but are near enough always on sale in the brochures, if it doesn't crease or look super shiny then I can see it being worth the price because I feel lip crayons last a lot longer when it comes to usage.

Lip Plumping Lip Conditioner
I have been wanting to try this for about 5 months now. I have tried lip plumping products before from other brands and I hated them, but I have such high expectations for Avon's lip plumping lip conditioners. I feel like I would probably get along with this one. My lips can get super dry in warm weather and in cold weather, living in the UK just says something, no matter what the weather, they are typically dry. This lip plumping conditioner claims to make the lips look plumper and moisturized which is exactly what my lips need. This product is normally £9 but I hardly ever see it at its full price so if the price ever shoots to £5 or under, I might just try it.

Colortrend Fashion Nail Enamel
I really want to try this nail enamel. I have heard quite good things about it apart from the fact it doesn't usually last long, but the colors look so cute. I don't think I can stop myself from purchasing the neutral colors or the minty colors for much longer. These are usually £3 each but I often see them for £1.50 each so they are super affordable even if I then figure I don't like it. The colors are just super cute and adorable and apparently they are super shiny too which I love in nail polish, even though I always put a top coat over it anyways.

FAR AWAY Perfumed Body Spray, Skin Softener & Far Away EDP
I have smelled the little sample they usually have in the catalog and this fragrance smells absolutely lush. I almost ordered it for myself around Christmas time but then fell in love with another fragrance and got that one instead. I have seen this set in the catalog for £12 altogether so it really isn't pushy. I'm very tempted to treat myself to this for my birthday this year. I've been eyeing this fragrance set for so long I think I deserve it soon.

Rare Pearls EDP
In my opinion, this perfume smells so much better than the Far Away fragrance I just previously mentioned in this post. The first time I saw this product was in Brochure 11 2016 so I'm guessing it is still fairly new. The scent has a really fresh floral touch to it, I love it. This perfume is usually £13 but I have seen it for £6 when on sale so I reckon I will wait to finish the fragrance I'm currently drowning in every day and then I will wait until it is back on sale and order it straight away. It smells too heavenly for me not to have it so it is a must have purchase that I can not feel guilty for.

Maxi Tan Tan-Enhancing Oil Spray
I'm going to be honest here, I have never tried a tan-enhancing oil spray before in my life. I have always been tanned on my face and arms (mainly because I hated wearing dresses so those parts were the only parts that tanned when I was younger), but now I'm getting into wearing dresses and want to get my legs to match my arms finally so I don't have to wear tights all the time and look hideous. I reckon I will be giving this ago or a similar product from the collection a go this summer and see how it goes. If it goes wrong, it's back to tights I go. These are normal £6 so it's okay, bargain to me.

Avon Senses Shower Gels
I have tried every Avon bubble bath and shower gel about from the Avon Senses shower gels. I don't like that the names on the catalog aren't specific or obvious for me to know the scent but I really want to try some. We are moving into our first home soon so I will be wanting to stock up on these as much as I can before we move in so they are ready to use as soon as we move in. I have been recommended some scents which I will be ordering this month so I will be trying these and posting my feedback on them. I literally can't wait to have these up my nostrils and be able to tell you all about them... Okay, let's calm down there.

I hope you all enjoyed this list. I hadn't realized how many things I have been wanting to try from Avon for so long until I reached the end of this list. It's shocking. I really need to step up my game and try all of these and let you guys know what I think of the products in the end.

My Money Saving Challenge Summer 2016

As many of you are aware, my partner and I are planning to move into our first house together in the next 2 months. As hard as it is getting everything together, having to buy baby things and everything at the same time. I have decided to do a money saving challenge.

All the change that is left over from shopping? Into the jar. All the money I put aside from blogging milestones? In the jar. Basically all the money we can put aside will be put into the jar.

The challenge will be starting on Friday 27th May. I will be emptying the jar often and taking it to the bank to put it into a savers account so I can better track the money online as it adds up with time. I will be announcing the final total on  Tuesday 19th July.

You can also do your own money saving challenge at the same time. Let's see who can gather the most. I can't wait to hear your journey and final results.

Collaboration Opportunity for June 2016

I am looking for bloggers that would be interested in doing a collaboration with me in the month of June.

How it works

We will choose a topic to better suit our blogs together. We will choose a date for the blog post to be posted. Both posts will have to be posted on the same day, ideally at a chosen time (but if you have a different timezone this is fine). Our post will have a link to your blog and a mention at the start or end of the post that we are collaborating with you and for people to check out your blog post, and vise versa.

Once both blog posts have been posted, your advertisement picture with be published on the ''Other Businesses & Blogs'' for free for an exact month. I will also be advertising your post and blog on the Twitter and Instragram pages to help you grow your audience, I usually charge for this as well but because we are doing a collaboration, I will do this for you free of charge as well.

Avon Wishlist- May 2016

You requested it and here is this month's Avon wishlist. I will be adding the prices along with each product for this post like I do with every product post, however, please note that Avon change prices all the time. I will be only writing down the 'normal' price Avon have on their catalog underneath the price is is this month. I hope you enjoy today's post.

Conditioning Eye Make Up Remover Lotion

I have heard so many good things about this make up removing lotion. I usually use the Nivea eye make up remover along with Johnson's baby lotion for the rest of my face and it works wonders. So, I want to try this one to see if it is sort of a combination of both but for just the eyes. This is normally £4 on the catalog.

Color Trend Rocker Glam Kohl Liner & Eye Shadow Duo

I have always wanted to try this, it looks super easy to apply over the lids. I haven't heard many negative comments on this product apart from if used along it does crease but I'm hoping it doesn't do that with eye shadow primer underneath. If I try it one day, I'll do the test. These are normally £4 on the catalog.

AVON Naturals 'Pink Daisy & Sicilian Lemon' Shower Gel

I love the smells that I have ordered before from the Avon Naturals collection, everything just smells so fresh. However, I have always ordered the body lotions, I have never given the shower gels a try. If the body lotions smell lush then I'm sure the shower gels won't disappoint me. I'm tempted to actually order one in the scent 'Pink Daisy & Sicilian Lemon' to give these a try. These are normally £2.70 on the catalog.
AVON Naturals Kids Body Wash & Bubble Bath 'Swirling Strawberry'

Yes, I am aware this body wash and bubble bath is intended for kids but my mom used to buy this when I was younger and I can still remember the amazing scents she used to get of these. I'm moving house soon with my partner so I'm super tempted to get a bunch of these for our bath room as soon as we move in. 'Swirling Strawberry' has to be my all-time favorite from the collection.  These are normally £2.50 each on the catalog. I need this!

AVON Bubble Bath

I absolutley love the huge Avon bubble bath bottles. My mom used to also buy this a lot when I was younger so I am very familiar with the scents, and love them. My favorite scents have to be 'French Lilac', 'Soft Pink', and 'Sensitive Rose Petals'. Like I have said before, we are hopefully moving in the next 2 months or so into our first home so I would love to stock up on these for when we move in. I can just tell our bath room is going to be full of these to the top. These are normally £5 each on the catalog by Avon often have sales where you can buy one and get the other free.
AVON Senses Shower Gel

I know what you're thinking, you're thinking I'm going crazy with every Avon shower gel this month and that is pretty damn accurate. Have you smelled this? If you haven't then you seriously need to. This smell like pure summer. My favorite smells for these are 'Pure Oasis' and 'Citrus Zing', but they also have these scents for the hand wash so once again our bathroom will be full of these in no time. These are usually £2 each on the catalog.
Incandessence Glow Perfume

This perfume is brand new to Avon in this month's brochure and oh my God do I want it. The smell is absolutely lush and has to be the best scent in the brochure this month. I love it. Not to mention that the bottles for the Incandessence collection look super cute and unique. This product will normally be £11 but is currently at a starter price of £7 in brochure 10 so you still have time to order it cheaper.
So this month's Avon wishlist has come to an end.

You guys requested this a lot on social networks so I will be making this a monthly post, pretty much whenever I get the new brochure every month so it may not have a specific day, but it will happen.

My One Year In College

If you live in the UK you will know that in recent years, a new law came out to say that after you leave high school at the age of 16, you have to be in education until you turn 18. This can be college, sixth form, apprenticeship, and so on. I was months from turning 17 when I left high school (long story short, I didn't know any English when I came to the UK and they thought it was best to make me re-do a whole year to give me time to learn, 3 months into that year, I was fluent in English so hooray), this meant I would be able to do just one year of college instead of 2 years so I was pretty happy with that.

In the last few months of high school, I applied for over 80 apprenticeship positions per month in my town and surrounding areas, I had a few interviews here and there but never stayed. The apprenticeships I was applying for were mainly for reception, front of house, administration, sales, hairdressing and hotel management. If you live in the UK you will know this, but if you don't then let me quickly explain, colleges usually require you to apply for courses before September which is when the courses start. So, I had until September of that year to find an apprenticeship or I would have to go to college.

August came along and I just couldn't get into an apprenticeship, I was getting notifications to my email every day with the first line being ''you are the ideal candidate for this position, however, the position has already been filled at this time. We wish you good luck for the future''. It was driving me crazy. So I ended up looking on all the college websites in my area. I quickly decided there was no way I was going to a sixth form college so I limited my options a little. I had a look, I applied for a few hairdresser and beauty courses as I love all of that, and I also applied for business admininstration courses. Why did I apply for business administration courses? I really wanted an apprenticeship, that's what I have wanted for myself once I got out of high school ever since apprenticeships became this huge thing in the UK. Since administration fit with most of the apprenticeships opportunities I had been previously applying for, I decided that I would try this as a college course.

By this point it was now September and I got into the business administration course. The first few months of the course weren't too bad, everything was pretty organised and the coursework was easy to keep up with. But the last few months were hectic for me. I wasn't in a very good place with myself, I was having anxiety attacks almost daily and I simply couldn't focus on my coursework properly. In the last few months of the course, I did consider quitting just because I felt like I couldn't do it and I would rather quit something than end up with a bad grade or a fail to carry on my CV for the rest of my working life.

Good news though, I struggled but I didn't quit and I passed the course so everything was okay in the end. But it was super stressful and everything did drive me crazy towards the end, there was so much to do and so much to rush and I also had a hard time dealing with anxiety attacks at that point.

If I could go back and do it all over again for that course? Not really, I would have rather gone through all the stress for a course I would love to do as a job, like hairdressing or maybe even beauty. I feel like that would have been more worth my stress and struggle than a course I wanted to do thinking more of the money I could make in the future. I thought I would enjoy the course but I really didn't enjoy it in the last few months.

Top 8 Eye Shadow Palettes I Want To Try

Hello, everyone. Lately, a lot of you have asked me which eye shadow palettes I would like to try and which ones I haven't gotten round to purchasing yet but are definitely on my wish list. There are so many I could have put on this list but these just had to make the top 8 today.

Want to try them too but too lazy to search what price they are roughly going for at the moment? Worry no more, I have done all of that for you already.

This is the Electric eye shadow palette by Urban Decay. I have heard so many good things about this palette. I have heard and read so many reviews that state this palette is super pigmented and that the eye shadows stay super vibrant on the skin with or without an eye shadow base or primer.

I can see this eye shadow palette being great for the summer and for super vibrant, pin-up make up looks.

Obviously, the price is the main reason I am still yet to try out this palette. The palette is currently being sold online at about £38.

This is the new Alice Through The Looking Glass eye shadow palette by Urban Decay. This palette has a bunch of neutral colors I can see myself using for so many tutorials.

The colors 'Heads Will Roll', 'Royal Flush', 'Cake' & 'Metamorphosis' are the colors that mainly caught my eye in this palette though. I have also heard the colors in this palette are super pigmented, which if you don't know, it's a super positive thing in eye shadows.

Once again, great quality make up comes at a non-friendly price. The cheapest I have seen this palette going for has bee £48.

This is the Neon Nights eye shadow palette by W7. This gives me the impression that it's a cheaper version of Urban Decay's Electic eyes shadow palette.

I am still yet to find out more details about this eye shadow palette, I have searched high and low for reviews on this palette and haven't found many. I'm actually super curious about the eye shadows included in this palette.

Are these pigmented, or not? I can't wait to find out. I have seen this eye shadow palette trending at around £5.

This is Anastasia Beverly Hills' Self Made eye shadow palette. I have never tried any products by them but the amazing reviews I have seen just give me such high expectations for all their products.

I am looking forward to saving up for this palette. All the colors look super wearable and I have heard they are super pigmented so I will surely be giving this beauty a good try.
The cheapest I have seen this palette trending for is £15 on eBay and Amazon.

This is Sleek's new eye shadow palette named Snapshots. I have been really into super summery bright colors recently. This eye shadow palette is something I definitely need to add to my make up collection.

I already have so many ideas for what looks I want to create with this palette. This palette is currently trending for £7 online.

Here we have Too Faced's Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette. Can we just take a moment to take a very close look at the super amazing colors included in this palette.

I have heard some amazing things about Too Faced products but have never read a review about this particular palette, which makes me even more eager to give it a try.

This palette is going for around £10 online so a lot easier for me to try out price-wise as well. Ticks all the boxes.

This is the Technic Electric Eyes palette. It isn't as bright as some palettes I have bee recently interested in purchasing but the blues are what mainly get me in this palette.

I haven't heard much about this palette and I'm not really expecting much given how cheap it is trending for but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for pigmented shadows.

This palette is trending online for £3 so it's a hell yes from my bank account.

This is The Balm's Nude Dude Volume 2 eye shadow palette. I'm hoping this eye shadow palette is more pigmented than most drugstore brands because I hate when I put eye shadow on and it just doesn't go on my lid. It's so frustrating.

This palette is trending on eBay for less than £5 so I can't really expect much from it. I can see myself using this palette every week for a natural eye look.

I hope you enjoyed today's Top  Eye Shadow Palettes I want To Try post. I can't wait to try some of these and share my opinions on the products with you all.

My Pregnancy So Far

You voted on the Twitter poll for today and here it is.
As of today, I am 23 weeks pregnant and counting. As much as I can't wait to give birth and have our little one in our arms, I can already also tell I'm going to miss my baby bump like crazy. I have spoken to so many people regarding this and so many people have told me they can't wait to give birth and that having a bump makes them feel self conscious about their body, but for some reason I feel differently about this. I actually feel a lot better about myself and don't feel self conscious about my body or what people think of the way I look. Surely I'm not the only one to feel this way...

I have been told a little bit of everything by doctors. And trust me, most of the time they give worst case scenarios when it's most of the time nothing to worry about. So stay chilled...

How have I found pregnancy so far? The first 12 weeks were the ones filled with those symptoms that make you feel a little drained, I had a lot of morning sickness, and was always tired and needing to run to have a wee. Since then, pregnancy has been super chilled for me. I'm guessing seeing your baby for the first time at 12 weeks also helps take a lot of stress and worry off of your shoulders.

At around 19 weeks, I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection when I went to the doctor about having pains on my left side and due to feeling the baby a little less than usual. I was medicated for this for about 7 days with anti-biotics, this was supposed to clear the infection. I had an emergency scan, the baby wasn't moving a lot but was healthy and doing rather well. During the time when I was taking the tablets for this, I had severe pains on my back and sides and paramedics had to have a look at me, the infection was still there. They believed the infection had gone up to my kidneys, I finished these antibiotics and turns out they didn't clear it completely. Once I finished these anti-biotics, I had the pains again and called the emergency health line who told me to go into hospital and so I did, they didn't know what was going on but suspected the infection was definitely up in my kidneys now.

At 20 weeks, I had my normal scan where they had a look at how the baby was doing, measured everything to check for concerns and also told us the baby's gender. That was when we found out we are having a little boy. At around 21 weeks I was given more anti-biotics to clear infection and was told thy suspected I now had kidney stones. I know right, just as confused as you are. At 22 weeks I had a scan to check kidneys and pelvis and am currently awaiting results.

Basically, pregnancy so far isn't as bad as everyone kept telling me it was going to be even at the time I am now. It's just super exciting, obviously I have had all these infections but that doesn't really ruin my excitement. As long as the baby is okay, that's all that matters.

It's super exciting getting things done and getting things for the baby and seeing everything come together. I love it, literally counting down to meet our little boy.

Top 5 Monthly Best Skin Care Products - April 2016

Welcome to April's Top 5 Best Skin Care Products. I'm not usually one for taking great care of my skin and I know that is super bad. But since being pregnant, my skin has changed a lot and has become a combination instead of being just pure oily like before, so I find it definitely deserves some care now.

5. I started using this for my blackheads back in December, I believe. I was shopping in Savers, saw this for £1 on the side and thought I would give it a try.

I can't lie, I can actually see a huge change in my skin especially when I feel a bit ill or drained and don't feel like doing my skin care routine. You can really tell when I haven't used this on my face. I usually use this every morning and every night but I actually have absolutely no idea how often you're meant to do it so don't trust me on that one.
4. Would you actually consider this as skin care? I don't know, I'm unprofessional like that so lets just consider this skin care for now.

I use this on my skin to take make up off pretty much whenever I use it. This costs me roughly £5.50 online but I'm pretty sure you can get it cheaper in places like Savers.

I would highly recommend this. I have used other eye make up removers that were more up the high end and they were nowhere near as good as this one. This eye make up remover actually also leaves your skin silky smooth. Nice one, Nivea.

3. Okay, so I don't actually use coconut oil much at the moment because I'm too lazy to buy it online and it is way too expensive to buy in high street shops over here.

But what I can tell you is that you can get this one for about £8.50 on eBay and it will actually last you a long time. Whenever I have used this, I have used this on my skin before adding make up and after removing make up and I have also used it to treat my split ends because they get pretty hideous during this time of the year.

I would definitely recommend purchasing this, in fact, I need to follow my own advise and get some next month.

2. I don't usually use many high end products for my face or skin care because I find that most of the time you can find something that does the same for tons cheaper and I can't see anything wrong with saving some cash.

However, I got this in a Glossybox when I first subscribed and have fallen in love with it ever since. It leaves the skin silky smooth and smelling amazing for so long. You can put this on and then have a shower and your skin will still smell like this after your shower.

This product usually costs around £21 but you can sometimes get them brand new and for under £10 when bidding on eBay.

1. And finally this has to be my number one for this month. I haven't been using it for long but have already seen such a huge difference on my skin.

I have used this before adding make up to my face and it makes the face feel so much softer, once dried on the face it also works as a great skin primer and your foundation or bb cream will actually look a lot more natural on the face.

I believe this costs almost £13 but is it worth it?Yes, it is. Remember that Lush also have different facial moisturizers, different ones work better on different skin types so if you have a different skin type to me, this may not do a lot on you.

AVON Shopping Haul May 2016

I can't be the only one that gets super excited around that time of the month when your Avon goodies get delivered to your doorstep. No one is as excited as I am to show you guys what I got from Avon Cosmetics this month. Just like in every haul I do, I will not be going into too much detail around the products themselves as I want to individually review them soon.

I mainly got things I actually needed for tutorials this time and then felt a little daring and got myself a surprise bargain pack. I was super pleased with everything I got in the bargain pack as well.

I really can't wait to try all the products and let you know how I feel about them.

I have personally always been the sort of person to just use liquid and pencil liners and that was it.

This month I thought I would give this little fella a try. I can't wait to try this one as I have never found these very practical for me to use.

I have heard some good and bad points about this product so I'm pretty damn eager to try this and let you guys know what I think of it.

I ordered this product solidly because I knew my deodorants would be running out by the time the order got to my doorstep.

I have some expectation for this one considering I already have the perfume spray fragrance so I'm expecting this to smell the same but stick around for longer.

Fingers crossed this one has a scent that stays around more than previous fragrance ones I have used. Watch the blog if you want to find out my opinion about this one.
I have been wanting to try one of these for a very long time but hadn't seen many reviews on this product, this month I felt a little daring and finally added it to my order.

I once again did what I always do, I looked at the catalogue and ordered the darkest one from this collection.

I'm expecting it to be very pigmented, so I'm hoping to not have to use too much product on my lips per application. I'm also expecting this to be super shiny and glossy but we shall see.
I actually ordered this product as more of a try-out. My mascaras have all gotten to that crusty and clumpy point so it was really time for a new one.

My favourite mascara was out of stock in high street shops so I thought I would give something new a try. I am still yet to try this mascara but already love the look of the brush. If there is one thing I hate about mascaras it's when they don't come with a plastic/rubbery brush. I just think these brushes do so much more than the other brushes, others make my eyelashes look super messy.

I ordered a make up bargain pack for £8 this month, just as a surprise as I like getting these every once in a while. This was one of the things that came in that bag. I am actually super pleased with it. I haven't tried this on my lips yet so haven't created much of an opinion round it but I have done a swatch on my hand and the color actually looks great.

I'm always a little uncertain about getting the surprise packs in case I get a color that doesn't look good or match my skin but so glad it wasn't the case this time.
This nail polish also came in the bargain pack I ordered and once again I was super pleased with the color I got.

This color is definitely a color I would wear, maybe not as much in the summer as I prefer to have lighter and brighter nails in the summer.

I can't wait to try this nail polish and be able to review it for you guys. I have purchased one of these before so have high expectations for color pay-off.

I also got these two in the bargain pack I ordered. I know right, that bargain pack was filled with goodies.

I'm really pleased I got these two in the pack, especially with so many events coming up. I love using these as a base for my matching eye shadows because they give such a shimmery glow once you apply powdered eye shadows on top of them. Of course you can wear them by themselves as well, but due to them not being nude colors, I find it more difficult to apply the color evenly and with no harsh edges.

I used to use the nude and golden versions of these before they stopped selling them and then now they are selling them again, I was already tempted to get some, so lucky I got these in the pack I ordered.

This is another product I got in the bargain pack. This has to be the only product I am slightly disappointed with. This mascara comes with one of those mascara wands I have already mentioned I rarely like.

I haven't tried this mascara yet but just from looking at the brush, I can tell it will not be right for my lashes and will make them clump together just like other similar wands always do. So, I don't really have high expectations for this product. Let's see if it proves me wrong when I review it for you guys soon.

I hope you all enjoyed this AVON haul. I know I haven't gone into much detail at all. I was more aiming towards showing you guys what I got, especially as I also want to let you all know about the products in deeper detail individually.
